THE HISTORY TO THE JANDOUGLEN PREFIX

My ancestor John Douglas in 1746 at the age of 10 escaped from the Battle of Culloden and settled in Sunderland and married a girl called Ann, hence the J was taken from John, An from Ann and the Dougl from Douglas and en was added. As my husbands initial is J and I am also Ann, we also came part
